Curfew checks result in charges

North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 75 calls for service between 6 a.m. Saturday, July 11 and 6 a.m. Sunday, July 12.

Saturday

• There was a report of a collision on the 1400 block of 94th Street just after 6 a.m. One vehicle appeared to have been parked without the emergency brake and it slowly rolled downhill into another parked vehicle.

• A young male was banging on a door and ringing the doorbell on the 1300 block of 106th Street at 7:30 a.m.

• A vehicle was broken into on Maher Drive overnight and items were taken from it.

• There was a complaint that a vehicle on Cardinal Crescent was broken into overnight.

• A theft was reported by a business on 101st Street at 4:25 p.m.

• Around 4:45 p.m. a vehicle hit a parked car on the 1500 block of 103rd Street. The car was left abandoned on the street and an intoxicated male was located a block away. He was held in custody until sober and the vehicle was towed.

• Officers checked a residence of a male youth that was on curfew conditions and he was not home and was charged with breaching his conditions.

• Officers went to a residence in Saulteaux First Nation to assist WPD Ambulance with an injured 44-year-old male man after 11 p.m. The man received medical attention, but was intoxicated and unco-operative with officers. He was arrested for breaching his recognizance with conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol and he appeared in court the following Monday.

Sunday

• Someone smashed a window on a vehicle parked on the 1500 block of 99th Street at 12:23 a.m.

• There was a report that a vehicle had been broken into on the 1400 block of 98th Street at 12:35 a.m.

• Officers did a curfew check on an 18-year-old woman, who was not at home during curfew hours. She was charged with failing to comply with her conditions.

• A vehicle window was smashed overnight on the 1500 block of 107th Street.

During this time period, there were also seven people arrested for alcohol related offences, 13 disturbances reported, six traffic complaints, four nuisance 911 calls and three false alarms.
