The Town of Battleford has passed a bylaw authorizing the Town to enter into a development and servicing agreement with Kramer Ltd. for parcels of land and a road allowance within the town.
The bylaw, which passed unanimously, authorized the mayor and administrator to sign, seal and execute the agreement. It also repealed the existing bylaw from 2012. According to Administrator Sheryl Ballandine, there were “too many changes” to allow for an amendment, so the decision was made to simply repeal the old agreement and sign a new one.
It was explained the land had been subdivided since the signing of the old agreement, with 22 lots over and above the existing Kramer lot. Mayor Derek Mahon noted the lots are being proposed near their existing dealership; there was some talk that the lots could possibly be put up for sale.
“We wish them all the best as they move forward,” Mahon said.
