The North Battleford RCMP detachment responded to more than 20 calls for service between 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Spet. 24.
Included in those calls were two false or nuisance 911 calls,two false alarms,five traffic or minor collision investigations,four municipal bylaw or disturbance complaints and one child welfare or family relations investigation.
Tuesday
1036 a.m. - Advised by an outside detachment of an allegation of assault against a child under 12 which occurred in city.Alleged ongoing issue occurring over the last year.Children involved are safe and investigation is ongoing.
133 p.m. - Vehicle reported having window damaged while parked on 1100 block of 99th Street overnight.Second damaged vehicle in same area reported shortly afterwards.
200 p.m. - Theft of a bicycle reported on 101st Street.Possible suspect identified.Investigation is still ongoing.
433 p.m. - Call of threats being made to complainant via text message.There were a couple of other complaints throughout the night being made by both sides of this situation accusing the other of unwanted text messages, despite the fact that both parties could not seem to stop sending each other messages.Both sides warned about behaviour.
622 p.m. - Call of several intoxicated persons on 101st Street.44-year-old man was arrested on scene and charged with breach of probation. Several other subjects warned to leave area and complied.
831 p.m. - Domestic assault on 108th Street reported.33-year-old man arrested and remains in custody.He appeared in court on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 24 facing charges of assault and failing to comply with an undertaking, as subject was on a no contact order for a previous incident involving the same victim.The alleged victim was not injured during this incident.
