City council in North Battleford have granted a downtown tax incentive to Tom Hutchinson for work completed at 1131-101st Street.
The specific exemption applied for was the Building Improvements and Expansion Incentive. According to a city memo from Jennifer Niesink, director of planning and development, work done at the location exceeded $250,000, allowing Hutchinson to be eligible for a four-year incentive on the municipal portion of property taxes.
Niesink also stated much of the work was cosmetic in nature and did not require a building permit, so all invoices related to the work were submitted as well.
Council voted to grant the four-year incentive unanimously.
