Downtown North Battleford is once again encouraging downtown property owners and developers to apply for their Façade Improvement Grant.
According to the organization, the grant is to encourage owners and developers to invest in renovating or expanding their property, and also increase confidence in downtown.
It is open to owners of any commercial or industrial property within Downtown North Battleford who can apply for a cash grant to enhance or restore the appearance of any street-facing facades.
The amount is limited to 50 per cent of projected expenses to a maximum of $2,500 per façade. It is rebated upon inspection and completion of the project. It must be demonstrated the intended work will clearly lead to an improved appearance of the façade.
The grant covers all related invoiced expenses for supplies and labour by contractor; labour of the business owner does not qualify as an expense.
A completed application must be submitted and receive approval of the BID committee prior to commencement of work.
