It was a busy weekend for North Battleford RCMP who responded to about 60 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Saturday, May 17 and 6 a.m. Sunday, May 18.
Among those calls were five false alarms and two nuisance 911 calls.
Saturday
6:16 a.m. - A 25-year-old intoxicated man was arrested and charged for causing a disturbance, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. Once sober, he was released and will make his first court appearance June 9.
6:43 a.m. - Police responded to a call of a fight at an apartment on Winder Crescent. No assault had occurred and one party had left before police arrived.
7:53a.m. - Report of mischief to property along Highway 16. Still under investigation.
8:37 a.m. - Complaint of a vehicle driving erratically on 102nd Street. Police located the vehicle parked. An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged with care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired and drive while prohibited. He will make his first court appearance later this month.
9:33 a.m. - Report of a suspicious vehicle parked on 13th Avenue. Police attended. Parked in no parking zone.
10:38 a.m. - Complaint of intoxicated persons at a business on 101st Street. Police located them a short distance away and they departed in a cab.
11:05 a.m. - Report of a traveller accidentally left behind at a gas station by her family. They realized she was not present and returned to pick her up.
11:14 a.m. - Report of theft from a business on Railway Avenue. Still under investigation.
12:19 p.m. - Report of theft from vehicle on 102nd Street. Still under investigation.
12:17 p.m. - Report of a suspicious hitchhiker on Highway 16. Was picked up before located.
12:28 p.m. - Report of a dog left in a vehicle on Railway Avenue. Police attended and dog was fine.
1:15 p.m. - Report of a suspicious man in the Killdeer area. Not located.
1:22 p.m. - Report of a collision between a truck and parked cars at a business on Railway Avenue. The truck took off but was located by police. The 32-year-old female driver was arrested and charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident, driving without due care and attention and driving without a licence. She will make her first court appearance June 9.
2:56 p.m. - A 45-year-old man was arrested and charged with public intoxication. Released when sober.
5:18 p.m. - Report of a child walking along Heritage Way by himself. Police attended but did not locate any child in that area.
5:35 p.m. - Report of theft from a business on 101st Street. Still under investigation.
5:56 p.m. - Report of a man assaulting his two small children on 11th Avenue. Man was located. No assault had occurred, however, he was intoxicated and breaching his conditions. He was arrested and remanded for court on May 20. The children were turned over to family members.
6:00 p.m. - Report of an assault on 112th. Victim declined to pursue charges and suspect warned.
6:13 p.m. - Report of a fire at a business on 102nd Street. Started because of a burner left on. Nothing criminal.
7:20 p.m. - Complaint of a disturbance on 105th Street. Police mediated an argument between residents of the house.
7:54 p.m. - Police attended to a residence on St. Laurent Drive regarding a man hallucinating. Nobody was hallucinating, The caller just wanted police to remove a guest. Police obliged him and also charged him under the 911 Act.
8:30 p.m. - Report of a suspicious man on Winder Crescent trying to smash a window of a vehicle. A 25-year-old was located inside a residence and arrested for mischief. The vehicle owner declined to lay charges. Parties known to each other.
9:04 p.m. - Report of an erratic driver on 95th Street. Not located.
9:16 p.m. - Report of a suspicious man walking near King Hill. Patrols made, not located.
9:41 p.m. - Report of a dog biting a child on 105th Street. Still under investigation.
10:07 p.m. - A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged with impaired driving, impaired over .08, using wrong licence plate on vehicle, driving without a valid licence and operating an unregistered vehicle. He was released when sober and made his first court appearance May 18.
10:22 p.m. - Report of a suicidal man on Clarke Drive. The 18-year-old man agreed to go to the hospital.
10:28 p.m. - Report of garbage being thrown from a moving vehicle. Vehicle located and owner warned.
11:00 p.m. - Two females were arrested on 111th Street for public intoxication. One 22-year- old, is also charged with breaching her probation and is remanded to court on May 20.
11:22 p.m. - Report of a suspicious man in an alley near Deans Crescent. He left before police arrived. Patrols negative.
11:36 p.m. - Report of someone knocking on doors on Campbell Crescent. Patrols made, nobody located.
11:45 p.m. - Report of youth drinking in a backyard on 104th Street. Police attended and located one intoxicated 13-year-old female. She was brought home by police.
Sunday
1:07 a.m. - Report that a 16-year-old woman had taken off from her residence after fighting with her sister. She returned home a short time later.
1:45 a.m. - Report of youth drinking on 104th Street. They left before police arrived.
2:27 a.m. - Report of a fight on 96th Street. Parties involved departed before police arrived.
3:02 a.m. - Report that a house was broken into and trashed. Police attended and it was determined that the complainant's younger brother had guests over earlier and they were the ones responsible for the damage.
3:06 a.m. - A 22-year-old woman was arrested and charged with impaired driving and impaired over .08. She will make her first court appearance later this month.
3:06 a.m. - Two intoxicated women, ages 21 and 24, were arrested for break and enter to residence on 110th Street. They were both released when sober and will make their first court appearances next month.
5:20 a.m. - Report of an unwanted woman sleeping on the complainant's couch. Police attended and determined that the intoxicated woman was in the wrong apartment. She was arrested for break and enter and lodged until sober. Complainant declined to lay charges.
