A towering figure in the real estate community in the Northwest was paid his last respects this week.
The funeral for Roger Manegre was held Tuesday at Don Ross Centre in North Battleford.
Manegre's career in real estate spanned more than four decades. Many of those years were spent in Cut Knife where Manegre was an active member of the community, serving 25 years on town council and 19 years as mayor.
He ran an insurance and real estate office in Cut Knife for 30 years before moving on to the Battlefords. Until recently, Manegre was owner/broker of Re/Max in the Battlefords and also Re/Max Meadow Lake.
He sold the business to Brian Maunula a couple of years ago, but remained with the organization as a broker until his passing.
