Lloydminster Rural and Maidstone RCMP are reporting a fatal collision on Highway 3 north of Lloydminster Sunday morning.
The collision happened around 8 a.m. Sunday, according to RCMP.
RCMP says members of the Lloydminster Rural and Maidstone RCMP, with the assistance of Lloydminster rescue, attended the scene of the two-vehiclecollision in the RM of Britannia.
Police say a semi truck hauling environmental equipment was going westbound on the highway when an eastbound Nissan Titan ran head on into the semi.
Police say the driver of the Nissan was pronounced deceased at the scene. Both the driver and passengerof the semi were sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to RCMP, there was light snow at the time and roads were slippery.
RCMP say the incident is still under investigation, and the name of the deceased is not being released at this time.
