RCMP are reporting a fatal rollover occurred on a grid road five kilometers south of Paynton on Friday afternoon.
According to police, Maidstone RCMP, Maidstone EMS and Fire Services and Paynton Fire Services responded to a call that came in around 4:06 p.m. that day.
Police say the rear passenger of the car, a 48-year-old male from Poundmaker Cree Nation, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver, a 44-year-old male from North Battleford, as well as a 58-year-old male from Poundmaker Cree Nation who had also been a passenger in the vehicle, were transported to hospital with unknown injuries.
Maidstone RCMP and an RCMP collision reconstructionist continue to investigate.
