The North Battleford RCMP detachment received approximately 36 calls for service between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2.
The calls included, but were not limited to, two municipal bylaw/disturbing the peace complaints, two false alarms, seven traffic investigations/complaints, two missing person complaints, one Mental Health Act, two 911 acts and one item lost/found.
Wednesday
8:25 a.m. - Request for attendance at an apartment building on Winder Crescent. The landlord advised suspicious activity, intoxicated people, a broken window and blood on the walls. Members attended and this incident had been reported the previous evening in relation to a complaint of assault. One man had been taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Investigation ongoing.
1:02 p.m. - Complaint of property damage at an address on 15th Avenue. Two people in a domestic relationship were involved in an argument. One locked the other out of the residence. The person that was locked out kicked the door in. No assault occurred and no charges.
1:23 p.m. - Complaint of property damage to a parked vehicle on 99th Street. Side mirror was taken off and damage to rear bumper. No suspects at this time.
1:35 p.m. - Complaint of theft of MasterCard credit card. Several withdrawals made before cancelled totalling $1,500. This investigation is ongoing.
2:50 p.m. - Complaint of a two-vehicle collision outside the Capital Theatre. No injuries, traffic blocked. Members attended and in a short time traffic was flowing. Investigation ongoing in relation to the cause of the collision.
3:57 p.m. - Complaint of an erratic driver on 100th Street last seen parking behind a licensed premise. Patrols made results negative.
4:18 p.m. - Complaint of arson. A fence in an alley off of 108th Street had been damaged by fire. No suspects at this time and exact time damage occurred unknown.
6:22 p.m. - Complaint of theft of money and food from a business within a local mall. A child under the age of 12 was apprehended by the store owner and waited for police to attend. Members attended and spoke with the child. The child was then driven home by the member and the parents were advised of what had transpired.
8:03 p.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man sleeping outside a business in the parking lot. Member attended and arrested the man was lodged until sober.
11:42 p.m. - Three separate complaints received in relation to multiple people banging on a door to an address on 114th Street. Members attended. Extensive patrols were made, but results were negative.
Thursday
12:17 a.m. - Complaint of an erratic driver on Pearson Avenue. Patrols made, but results were negative.
12:25 a.m. - Complaint of screaming and fighting coming from an address on 104th Street. Members attended to find that the homeowner and a friend were trying to get another intoxicated friend into a cab. The homeowner was warned to keep the noise down. No further calls received.
12:30 a.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man sleeping on the street outside the hospital. Members attended and he was arrested and lodged until sober.
4:39 a.m. - Complaint of a suspicious noise outside an address on Riverbend Crescent. Members attended and ensured all was secure. Complainant updated.
