The Provincial Snowmobile Festival took place in and around North Battleford on Friday and Saturday, with the Kramer Auctions building the hub of most of the activity for the two days. The host club for the event was the Battlefords Trail Breakers.
Good conditions were reported for the trails in the area.
While the weather was unseasonably warm Friday, the snow returned with a vengeance Saturday and riders had to contend with the white stuff as they made their way out of the Battlefords that day.
The bulk of the snowmobiling took place on Saturday as participants from snowmobile clubs from around the province took off on the trails leading outside the city to the surrounding areas.
There were also a number of vintage snowmobiles on display. One highlight from Saturday was when riders took to the vintage snowmobiles for a vintage trail ride. They found the old snowmobiles could still run.
