Battleford firefighters got a raise Monday evening retroactive to Jan. 1 of this year.
Battleford Town Council approved a recommendation from Fire Chief Larry Gabruch to raise the current firefighting rate from $18 to $19 an hour. He also recommended a dollar an hour raise to the current fire chief firefighting rate of $23, to the current training/practice rate of $13, and an additional dollar per day to the current on-call rate of $13.
