Five people have been arrested after Battlefords RCMP received a complaint Friday from a youth who advised that he had been held against his will, violently assaulted, threatened and assaulted with a weapon.
Investigation by Battlefords Detachment, Municipal GIS, Provincial GIS and Forensic Identification Section revealed that the offences took place at a location in North Battleford and a rural location not far outside the Battlefords.
There have been two adults arrested and three youth arrested in relation to this investigation.
All accused were scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday at 9:30 a.m. to address charges of kidnapping, pointing a firearm, uttering threats, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault.
The investigation is ongoing.
