The rain let up, and the mayhem ramped up as Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 30 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Monday, April 28 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 29.
Among those calls were three false alarms, two municipal bylaw complaints, one false/nuisance 911 call and five traffic related complaints.
Monday
6:58 a.m. - Intoxicated woman causing a scene at a residence on St. Laurent Drive. Arrested and held in custody until sober.
11:50 a.m. - Hit and run from the early evening of April 26 reported. Occurred on Railway Avenue East.
12:44 p.m. - Report of a vehicle entered overnight while parked on 27th Avenue. Some property taken and was recovered a short time later a short distance away.
1:22 p.m. - Report of an assault at a bar from the late evening of April 26. Victim not injured. Suspect known to victim and investigation is continuing.
3:07 p.m. - Five youths reported missing from group home. Four have since been located or returned on their own. One youth remains unaccounted for. Jonathan Gunville, 15, is described as thin, with blonde hair, blue eyes, approximately 5'5", believed to still be somewhere in the city of North Battleford.
3:55 p.m. - Three subjects arrested for public intoxication on 101st Street, one 45-year-old woman, a 45-year-old man and a 44-year-old man. The 45-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment due to his severe levels of impairment, then later caused another scene there and got to spend the rest of the night in cells.
5:54 p.m. - 49-year-old woman arrested for public intoxication on 101st Street.
5:58 p.m. - Two-vehicle collision on the 1100 block of 107th Street. Driver of one vehicle was injured and transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene. Cause remains under investigation.
6:54 p.m. - Report of an assault on Ravine Drive. A 24-year-old man is facing charges of forcible confinement, uttering threats, three assault charges and failing to comply with probation. He was arrested on scene without incident and is scheduled to make his first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on April 29 at 9:30 a.m. The victim and the suspect in this matter are known to each other.
7:45 p.m. - Complainant reporting ongoing harassment by an acquaintance. Investigation ongoing.
10:11 p.m. - 52-year-old man arrested for causing a disturbance after report of intoxicated man causing problems on 107th Street.
11:29 p.m. - 22-year-old man arrested and charged with failing to comply with undertaking, found intoxicated on 102nd Street.
Tuesday
12:31 a.m. - Unwanted person knocking at complainant's door on 111th Street. Concerned subject will cause problems, but left when police called and was not located.
12:38 a.m. - Assault on 101st Street reported. Neither subject injured and investigation ongoing, including the review of available surveillance footage.
1:49 a.m. - Report of a domestic dispute at a residence on 103rd street. A 20-year-old man was arrested on scene and has been charged with one count of failing to comply with a probation order. Investigation is continuing.
