Battlefords RCMP responded to about 20 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 and 6 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7.
Two of those calls were alarms, both proved to be false.
Thursday
6:54 a.m. - Theft of gas on Highway 16 bypass. Suspect vehicle described as a black 4x4.
9:09 a.m. - Report of an assault of a child received through a school. Investigation initiated and ongoing.
10:01 a.m. - Unwanted/harassing phone calls being made to a crisis line in the city by an unknown man caller.
11:50 a.m. - Complaint of issues over child access and property between an estranged couple. Matter mediated by members.
12:06 p.m. - Two-vehicle collision on 16th Avenue. No injuries, one vehicle was blocking traffic. Both vehicle sustained significant damage and were towed from scene. Driver of one of the vehicles involved charged with driving without a valid license and driving an unregistered vehicle.
2:00 p.m. - 911 call to a residence on 108th Street. Caller was intoxicated and wanted her intoxicated daughters removed from her apartment. Daughters it turned out were sober, just the caller was intoxicated and upset about her daughters calling her names. All parties agreed to separate for the time being.
3:42 p.m. - Caller contacting detachment because they had seen a flyer about the grand opening of a new grocery store in North Battleford and wanted to know if this was true.
Friday
12:35 a.m. - 30-year-old man arrested for public intoxication, located by patrolling members heavily intoxicated on 101st Street.
2:57 a.m. - Complaint of noise/fighting on Winder Crescent. Two men located and warned about noise. Both apologized and left area. No further complaints.
