A single vehicle roll over east of Denholm sent two people to Battlefords Union Hospital with minor injuries, March 21.

The vehicle was about one mile east of Denholm on Highway 16 east when the driver lost control. The road conditions at the time were extremely icy.

North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services received the call a little after 6 p.m. and by the time they arrived on the scene, both occupants were already out of the vehicle and being treated by WPD Ambulance.

Both patients were released from hospital the same evening.

The next morning, at about 8:30 a.m., a vehicle travelling east on Highway 40 also lost control and rolled.

The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and she was transported by WPD Ambulance to Battlefords Union Hospital as a precaution. The woman was also released the same day.

The vehicle had to be towed, as it came to rest on its roof.

Jason Toovey, operations supervisor with WPD, is reminding drivers to slow down and be careful in icy conditions.
