The Clayton McLain Memorial Museum in Cut Knife will be hosting its second annual Ladies' Gala Evening Saturday, Oct. 25.
Guests are invited to dress in disguise - as their favourite Hollywood diva, pop star or fictional character- or to the nines in bling-accessorized formal dress. Although, a costume is encouraged, and great prizes will be given to the best dressed, casual attire is welcome, too!
The Ladies' Night Out Fundraising Committee has designated the proceeds of this event be allocated to the new building fund. The museum's collection of artifacts has increased steadily and has outgrown the onsite display buildings. In addition to much-needed storage, CMMM's new building wish list includes a flexible gallery space for programming options and feature exhibits. Similar to other museums across the province, the CMMM is looking to increase the variety of ways it engages with the community.
The red carpet rolls out at the Jolly Roger Banquet Hall in Cut Knife at 5:30 p.m. Local musicians Ned Ramsey and Chris Scoular top the list of entertainers and Lyle Cronk will be MC for the evening. Ladies will be served a sit-down dinner of chicken cordon bleu. There'll be a silent auction, a 50/50 draw and door prizes. Please note this event is restricted to those 19 years of age and older.
