The Turtleford Housing Authority board of directors hosted a special event to honour one of its members for long service.
Betty Textor has served as a volunteer for 15 years and will continue on the board in her position as a director.
Textor received a certificate of recognition from the Province of Saskatchewan and a long-service lapel pin from the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation in recognition of her years of service.
Board members and friends were on hand to congratulate her.
The housing authority participates in a network of 271 housing authorities throughout Saskatchewan that are responsible for the management of social and affordable housing for seniors, families and persons with disabilities who are in need of suitable accommodation.
The Turtleford Housing Authority Board of Directors is responsible for 24 housing units within their community. Present members of the board of directors are M. Louise Lundberg, Helen Starnes, Betty Textor and Leslie Nordell. David Wooff serves as chairperson. Katherine Braaten is the housing authority manager.
