Human foot mystery endures

In 1993, a human foot and running shoe were located along the North Saskatchewan River near Prince Albert, approximately one kilometre west of the river forks. The foot was examined by the University of Saskatchewan Department of Archaeology.

Police are asking for the public's help in solving a 1993 mystery involving a human foot that was found in this shoe.

In 1993, a human foot and running shoe were located along the North Saskatchewan River near Prince Albert, approximately one kilometre west of the river forks.

The foot was examined by the University of Saskatchewan Department of Archaeology. It was determined to besize 10 and that of a robust male,big boned and athletic, likely between the ages of 30 and 60.

The runner is described as size 10 Blitz brand, navy blue running shoe. This particular

brand of shoes was retailed exclusively by Saan stores between 1986 and 1989.

RCMP Historical Case North are hoping someone may recognize the description, therunning shoeor have information to assist on this investigation. As part of the continuing investigation a partial DNA profile has been obtained.
