The Humboldt Uniplex saw a crowd for the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce's annual trade show show on Nov. 1 and 2. Organizer and Chamber executive director, Debra Nyczai, was happy with the number of people that were out on Saturday - about 1,400 - but was even happier with Sunday brought more.

"Yesterday was nicer weather, but today, oh yeah. We're getting a lot more people. It's amazing," she said.

In total, the trade show ended up with 117 vendors between commercial and home-based businesses, meaning the show was sold out. This number is up by almost 20 from last year. Nyczai hopes to get more room next year to accommodate everyone who wants to sign up. She also said there is a wait list for next year and people are already asking to rebook.

"I want to keep some of the good stuff, but we're going to get feedback from the vendors and see if there's anything they would do differently as well," Nyczai said.

Vendors came from all over the region and as far away as Alberta. One of those vendors is Twila Deforest from Tisdale.

"I hope to get my name out there and have people buy my product," Deforest said. "It's been good today was better than yesterday. Yesterday (Nov. 1) was pretty slow, but there are a lot more people today."

The children's area is not new to the trade show, but it was more extensive this year with face painting, balloon animals, and a reptile show. Nyczai said that area was a big hit.

"They loved it," she said. "Everyone's walking around with balloons and they seem to be happy and smiling."
