As everyone knows, the northern Alberta community of Fort McMurray is currently experiencing devastation due to a raging fire. All residents have been or are in the process of being evacuated to locations throughout Alberta.
There will also be many people who need to seek refuge on their own or with relatives and friends in neighbouring provinces. Many of these people will find themselves temporarily relocated in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba communities that have a Humpty’s location nearby.
That is why, effective immediately, all Fort McMurray residents who are guests at any of our Humpty’s Family Restaurant locations across Western Canada will receive a 50 per cent discount on their bill.
To receive the discount they must show proof of residency, like a driver’s licence, Alberta Health Care Card, utility bill, etc. – as long as it shows a Fort McMurray address.
This discount will be in effect up to and including Tuesday, May 31.
We sincerely hope that we can help residents from Fort McMurray regain some sense of normality back in their lives. We understand that this is only a small gesture in the face of such a horrible event, but we hope that with many small gestures all Albertans and Alberta businesses can help get Fort McMurray residents back home and back to their lives.
