Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 30 calls for service between 6 a.m. Sunday, March 8 and 6 a.m. Monday, March 9.
In addition, members arrested five people of alcohol related offences, there were two disturbances reported, one child welfare complaint, four traffic complaints, three false alarms, and one nuisance 911 call.
Sunday
• At 6:06 a.m., someone in a rural area of North Battleford reported there two males outside his house and they were trying to get into his truck. Police attended and the two males were not located.
• There were reports of horses on the highway south of Battleford on Highway 4, posing a traffic hazard in the morning.
• There was a report of three intoxicated persons who were causing problems at a business on Railway Avenue at 9:48 a.m. The individuals were located and warned not to return to the establishment.
• There was a single vehicle rollover that occurred in a rural community south of Battleford at 10:58 a.m. The driver stated that she lost control of the vehicle on ice. There were no injuries.
• Members arrested an intoxicated 48-year-old man at a business on Carlton Trail around noon. He was charged with causing a disturbance and is scheduled to attend court on April 13.
• There was a complaint in a rural area at 12:50 p.m. that the neighbour's dog was trying to attack their children who were playing in their own yard. The dog owner was warned that he is responsible for his dog's behaviour and to keep it contained on his own property.
• Someone reported at 3:41 p.m. that an intoxicated acquaintance just walked into her house with an unknown man, both uninvited, and she wanted assistance in removing them from her residence. Members assisted in removing the individuals and the complainant did not want any charges to be laid.
• There was a complaint at 9:11 p.m. that five or six males had smashed out a vehicle window on the 1400 block of 111 Street and they were fleeing the area. The suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
• There was a report of three intoxicated women fighting on the 900 block of 102nt Street at 9:52 p.m. No one was injured and it was determined to be a consensual fight among them. One woman was arrested on outstanding warrants and the other two were left in the care of someone who was sober for the rest of the night.
• At 11:01 p.m., members received a call from an individual who was requesting assistance in having two men removed from her house who were intoxicated and causing problems there. Members attended and arrested the two men to prevent any further issues.
