Arash Alidousti, 26, Michaela Beck, 27, were arraigned in court in Humboldt on June 8 for their illegal marijuana growing operation in Bruno. Alidousti was charged with production and possession of a controlled substance and Beck was also charged with production of a controlled substance.
Both will next appear in court on July 6.

The two were arrested on May 8 after Humboldt RCMP were contacted by a landlord in Bruno who was concerned about an illegal pot growing operation on his rental property. While conducting the search warrant, during which they seized marijuana, Alidousti and Beck were seen driving by the residence, which is when they were arrested.

Volunteers are still needed for the June 21 Sizzler Strut 5K walk/run and 10K run. Help is needed at water stations, with traffic control and race marshals. Please call Al Guthro at 306-682-2561 or Stacey Tremblay at 306-231-8357 if you are able to help out.

Due to the redrawing of the electoral boundaries, Brad Trost will no longer be the MP for Humboldt following the election. As such, he has closed down his office in Humboldt for the time being, but extends his gratitude to Humboldt residents for their support over the years.
