With a fall federal election fast approaching, both the Liberals and the Greens have confirmed they have candidates in place in Battlefords-Lloydminster.
The federal Liberals have confirmed on their website and on Facebook that Larry Ingram has been nominated to run for the party again in Battlefords-Lloydminster.
Ingram’s nomination was confirmed over the weekend. Ingram is a former municipal councillor and small business owner from the Turtleford area, and a frequent Liberal election candidate.
This is his third straight nomination to run for the Liberals in Battlefords-Lloydminster, after finishing third for the party in both the 2015 general election and 2017 by-election.
The Green Party also has a candidate ready to go. David Kim-Cragg will be their nominee in the coming election in the riding.
Originally from Sudbury, Kim-Cragg is a United Church of Canada clergyman and the CEO of the party’s Saskatoon-University riding association. According to the Greens’ website, Kim-Cragg “believes passionately that reducing greenhouse emissions is essential for the economy and life of the region.”
The other candidates running in Battlefords-Lloydminster are People’s Party of Canada candidate Jason MacInnis, and incumbent Conservative MP Rosemarie Falk. The New Democratic Party expects to nominate its federal candidate Saturday, Sept. 7.
