Internet trading site fraud reported

The Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 40 calls for service between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23.

The Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 40 calls for service between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23.


Those incidents included five false/nuisance 911 calls, two child welfare investigations, three traffic investigations, 10 municipal bylaw or minor disturbance investigations and two medical assistance requests.


Wednesday


1:50 p.m. - 28 -year-old woman arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 as the result of a shoplifting complaint from a business on Railway Avenue East.


2:51 p.m. - 41-year-old woman arrested and held in custody until sober after report of intoxicated person sleeping in an alley off 103rd Street.


3:13 p.m. - 42- and 40 year-old men arrested for public intoxication on 101st Street.


3:20 p.m. - Report that two vehicles parked on the 1400 block of 110th Street some time in the last two days were damaged.


5:18 p.m. - Report of a fraud through an Internet trading site.


5:48 p.m. - Report of a break and enter at a residence on the 1400 block of 101st Street. A man is alleged to have come into the home and stolen some property before fleeing. Suspect was located a short time later and arrested. A 39-year-old man is in custody and will be appearing in court Thursday on charges of break and enter and breach of probation.


6:35 p.m. - Complaint of a perpetrator damaging a door to a residence on 109th Street. Suspect and complainant are known to each other.
