La Loche woman injured in hit and run collision

On June 19 at approximately 2:30 am., La Loche RCMP along with La Loche Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of an injured female found laying on the street in the village of La Loche.

On June 19 at approximately 2:30 am., La Loche RCMP along with La Loche Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of an injured female found laying on the street in the village of La Loche.

A 20-year-old female from La Loche was located with serious injuries. She was transported to hospital in La Loche via ambulance and subsequently flown to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon by air ambulance.

Investigation revealed that the injured female had been walking on the side of the street when she was suddenly hit by a vehicle from behind. It is believed that the driver did not stop after the collision.

The La Loche RCMP are requesting assistance from the public in this matter.
