Battleford Lloydminster Federal Liberal Association held an annual general meeting recently and, according to a press release, is preparing to contest the riding in the expected 2015 election.
"We now have a strong membership base and will continue to build on this in preparation for 2015 by reaching out to those that have expressed interest in the Liberal party, and inviting them to become part of the Battleford Lloydminster riding," states riding president, Jane Shury, in the release.
Executive vice-president, Greg Nyholt, states, "We will build and further strengthen our base through meaningful, engaging conversations with the constituents of the Battleford Lloydminster Federal Liberal riding."
Riding officers, in addition to Nyholt and Shury both of the Battlefords, are: vice-president Kel Ollenberger - Macklin; secretary-treasurer Elaine Bendel - North Battleford; women's representative Vangie Loewen - North Battleford; youth and aboriginal representative Adam Jack - Paynton; seniors' representative Merv Zulynik -. North Battleford.
Directors are: John Andersen - Lloydminster, Sask.; Tom Brown- Turtleford; Ryan Bater - North Battleford; Ken Cameron - Battleford; Don Salie - North Battleford; Brent Shury - Battleford; Peter Walker - Kindersley; Ray Zich - Lloydminster.
