The stadium lights at Beaver Lions Stadium in North Battleford are now repaired and back up and running as the fall football season goes into high gear.

Repairs were needed after a pole switch blew in June. A second relay switch was installed, operating at a household equivalent of 110 volts. That lighting system removes the need for manual operation of the 2400-volt switch for the lights.

The specialized parts and equipment needed to do the repair arrived in North Battleford last week.

The lights are now fully repaired and operational. Parks and Recreation Director Stuart York said in a statement that he thanks the community groups and the public for their patience during the repairs.
