A Loon Lake man charged with numerous child luring offences still wasn’t given bail when he appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on March 25.

Steven Joseph Lasas, 26, is charged with making and possessing child porn, and luring a child.

Saskatchewan ICE arrested Lasas on Jan. 22 after they, along with Saskatoon Police, searched a Saskatoon home.

Saskatoon Police launched the investigation after a grandparent contacted them saying she believed her young grandson was being sexually lured through a popular social media application. The Saskatchewan ICE Unit, which investigates crimes involving the abuse or exploitation of children on the Internet, identified Lasas as the suspect and found where he was living temporarily in Saskatoon.

Lasas already had two previous appearances for bail hearings since being arrested two months ago. A show cause hearing continues on April 8 in Saskatoon Provincial Court.

The charges haven't been proven in court.
