Battlefords RCMP are investigating the abduction of three children reported Thursday.
At approximately 2:15 p.m. on Aug. 13, Battlefords RCMP received a call from an adult on the Sweetgrass First Nation advising that three children, an eight-year-old female, a 13-year-old female and an 11-year-old male, had been abducted by an adult male and that they had left the area in an SUV. The children are known to the suspect.
At approximately 4:15 p.m. the adult male was located and arrested by Cut Knife and Battlefords RCMP at a residence on Little Pine First Nation. Four children were located safe and sound, including the eight-, 13- and 11-year-old.
The investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending.
