Man charged after fleeing from grocery store parking lot

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt RCMP charged a 31 year old Preeceville man after he fled from a grocery store parking lot at a high speed. The incident happened when police responded to a complaint at 6:45 p.m. on June 8.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt RCMP charged a 31 year old Preeceville man after he fled from a grocery store parking lot at a high speed.

The incident happened when police responded to a complaint at 6:45 p.m. on June 8. As RCMP members were conducting a traffic stop, the driver fled the scene in his vehicle, striking a parked car in the process. The man fled at a high rate of speed and eventually left Humboldt eastbound.

Police said the subject was later located and arrested by Canora RCMP and was remanded into custody to appear on several new charges.

Garnet Pinske of Preeceville is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight while being pursued by police, resisting arrest, failure to stop after accident and failure to comply with an undertaking.

Pinkse also had a warrant out for his arrest from Canora RCMP and will appear on those charges as well.

Humboldt RCMP said they are seeking any video that the public may have obtained of this incident.
