A 27-year-old man, who was a passenger in a vehicle that rolled on Highway 55 less than a kilometre east of the Alberta-Saskatchewan border, has died from his injuries.
Adam Houston of Calgary, Alta. died at the University of Alberta Hospital Monday.
The rollover happened at about 2:20 a.m. Saturday, June 14. Pierceland RCMP report a 2004 GMC pickup was travelling westbound on the highway when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled multiple times.
Both the 26-year-old driver, also from Calgary, and Houston were transported to the Cold Lake Health Centre. The driver was later released while Houston was transferred to Edmonton.
RCMP say the investigation continues and charges against the driver are pending.
