North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 55 calls for service between Tuesday, July 14 and Wednesday, July 15.
Tuesday
• At approximately 5:45 p.m. a man was shot on Panton Avenue. The victim’s injuries were non life-threatening and he received medical treatment immediately. The investigation is ongoing.
• Officers investigated a loud party complaint around 11 p.m.
• There was vandalism reported to a building on Central Avenue in Battleford.
Wednesday
• Officers went to a home on the 800 block of 108th Street in regard to a complaint at 12:39 a.m. of an assault at that location. There had been a fight between two individuals that appeared to be consensual and only minor injuries were sustained. One man was arrested for outstanding warrants and was held in custody until he was sober.
• A male youth was arrested and held in custody until he was sober after a complaint at 2 a.m. that someone had called in regarding an intoxicated stranger in their yard.
• Officers attended a residence on the 1500 block of 105th Street at 2 a.m. and mediated a family dispute. One male resident was taken to another house for the night to prevent any further issues.
• A curfew check was done at 2:35 a.m. and a 26-year-old woman was found to be in breach of her judge issued curfew conditions, as she was not home.
• Just after 3 a.m., there was a report that three men had threatened someone walking on the 1400 block of 104th Street with a knife, demanding all of their possessions. No one was injured and the investigation is ongoing.
• At 4:20 a.m. there was another complaint at the same residence on the 1500 block of 105th Street, saying that the separated party had returned to the house. The man was arrested and held in custody until he was sober to prevent any further issues.
• There was a complaint that a vehicle had been stolen overnight from the 1700 block of 96th Street and it was known who had taken the vehicle. Officers located the vehicle, undamaged, and it was returned to the owner, who declined to have the person who took the vehicle charged with theft.
In addition, there were two people arrested for alcohol related offences, five disturbances were reported, there were two minor collisions, two traffic complaints, two nuisance 911 calls, three false alarms and two people reported missing who have already been located.
