A Meadow Lake woman was sentenced to six months in jail for weapons offences, robbery, mischief and obstruction of a peace officer.

Monica Bouvier, 24, pleaded guilty and was to be sentenced Sept. 28 but the matter was adjourned to Oct. 1 for sentencing in Meadow Lake Provincial Court.

The RCMP Emergency Response Team arrested Monica Bouvier and Cory Bouvier in April after Meadow Lake RCMP received calls about threats with the use of firearms.

Cory Bouvier was charged with robbery and weapons offences. He was denied bail and remains in custody. His trial is scheduled for Oct. 15 in Meadow Lake Provincial Court. He also has charges out of Prince Albert that are being dealt with in Prince Albert Provincial Court.

At the time the Bouviers were arrested, the RCMP ERT was already in Meadow Lake dealing with a call about threats with the use of a firearm at another house where they arrested Cassidy Dillon Regan, 29. He was charged with firearms-related offences, uttering threats and breach of probation.

Regan elected to be tried by judge alone. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 26 to speak to the matter.
