MELFORT — While Nipawin has cancelled its exhibition for July, the Melfort Agricultural Society hasn’t held any discussions about cancelling their July exhibition.

Kim Eskowich, manager of the society, said they are waiting to see what the recommendations are as the months draw nearer.

The Melfort Exhibition is set for July 17 to 19.

“We haven’t cancelled it yet, mostly because we’re three months away but it will all depend on what the government and health department rules are,” Eskowich said.

“None of the entertainment has cancelled yet and as far as we know the midway hasn’t cancelled for the summer yet.”

On April 23, the province released a several phase plan to reopen certain sectors of the province – that include gradually lifting the crowd size limit.

There has been no date given for this phase.

The provincial guidelines currently prohibit private or public gatherings of more than 10 people.
