Melfort residents will soon be able to visit their doctors under a single roof – connected right to the hospital.
“As far as I’m aware, the doctors are moving in after the 15th of November. I believe that all of them will be in by Dec. 1,” said Rick Lang, Melfort’s mayor. “The official opening, as of right now, is scheduled for Dec. 5.”
The opening has been delayed due to some unavoidable circumstances.
“The plan was to be in a little bit earlier than that,” Lang said, “but there was some holdup with some inspections with respect to SaskPower and SaskEnergy and those things you just can’t hurry up, so that was the reality, was we had to wait for those inspections and that was the delay in the occupancy.”
