Members called to assist ambulance with unconscious woman

The North Battleford RCMP detachment received more than 90 calls for service between 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26 and 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29.

The calls over the weekend included 12 traffic investigations/complaints, eight false/nuisance 911 calls, 16 municipal bylaw/disturbance complaints, five child welfare/family relations investigations and three false alarms.

Friday

3:03 p.m. - Call of three intoxicated men on 106th Street arguing and looking like they are going to fight. Members attended and arrested three men, ages 42, 51 and 54 for causing a disturbance.Held in custody until sober.

5:13 p.m. - Call of a four-vehicle collision on Highway 16 at bridges with no injuries reported.Slow-moving farm machinery on bridge resulted in a slow reaction by one vehicle to slow down and three other vehicles piled into each other one after the other.One vehicle had to be towed from scene. The others able to leave under own power.

6:11 p.m. - Report of theft of money and a purse from a residence on 102nd Street.Purse located hidden in home with a large sum of money missing. Members located suspect a short time later on 101st Street and the missing cash was recovered and returned to owner.A 63-year-old woman is charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000.Suspect remanded and appeared in court Monday, Sept. 29.

7:32 p.m. - 44-year-old man arrested and charged with breach of probation. He was found highly intoxicated on 101st Street.Remanded into custody and appeared in court Monday, Sept. 29.

9:20 p.m. - 15-year-old youth reported missing from group home. Subject located a short time later.

10:49 p.m. - Call of a two-vehicle collision on Diefenbaker Drive.Several subjects from one vehicle had fled scene of collisionat time of dispatch.Four persons were located and arrested after a search of the area by members.A 20-year-old man is facing charges of impaired driving, driving while over .08, failing to remain at the scene of a collision and breach of probation. He was held in custody until his first court appearance Monday, Sept. 29. A 16-year-old girl is facing one count ofobstruction andhas since been releasedfromcustody to appear in court Oct 30.An 18-year-old woman is facing charges of obstruction and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking. She was also remanded until Monday, Sept. 29.Afourth occupant of the suspect vehicle was also arrested, but has since been released without charges.

Saturday

12:23 a.m. - Call of a very intoxicated person at a home on the 1400 block of 104th Street. They got into porch of home before being confronted by home owner and fled area. Extensive patrols for suspect were negative.

1:54 a.m. - 20-year-old man arrested for public intoxication after report of a man at a business on Railway Avenue causing a scene.Held in custody until sober and released without charges.

2:31 a.m. - Members notified of a woman being treated for injuries sustained in an assault earlier in the evening.Suspect known to victim was no longer in area.Investigation ongoing and charges are still pending at this time.

2:44 a.m. - 20-year-old man facing charge of failing to comply with undertaking. He was not at residence during curfew check by members.

3:06 a.m. - 25-year-old man facing charge of failing to comply with undertaking, not at residence during curfew check by members.

3:12 a.m. - 17-year-old youth facing charge of breach of probation, was not at residence during curfew check by members.

5:37 a.m. - Members called to area of 16th Avenue and 106th Street, several calls made about loud noise and possible multiple gun shots. No damaged property reported or discovered and no reported injuries.Extensive search of area conducted members located remnants of several "cherrybomb" firecrackers on a lawnin the area of complaint.

6:21 a.m. - Call of intoxicated persons causing a disturbance on 96th Street.Two women, 19 and 25, located on scene and arrested.Both held in custody until sober and later released without charges.

4:35 p.m. - 56-year-old man arrested for causing a disturbance, found very intoxicated on 101st Street by members on foot patrol.

7:30 p.m. - 32-year-old man arrested for public intoxication on 101st Street.

8:49 p.m. - Theft of gasoline from a business on Highway 16 Bypass.Suspect vehicle described as white Mustang.

8:58 p.m. - 42-year-old man arrested from public intoxication, found very intoxicated walking near the bridges near traffic.Held in custody until sober.

Sunday

1:17 a.m. - Members called to a business on Railway Avenue East to assist ambulance with an unconscious woman.She was very intoxicated, medically cleared and taken into custody by members on scene.A man attempted to intervene with the members on scene and was also arrested and is now charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. He has since bee released from custody until his first court appearance Oct. 20.

2:03 a.m. - 34-year-old man arrested and facing one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous person after a complaint of a man walking down 110th Street near 9th Avenue with a baseball bat.

3:36 a.m. - Call of someone on the bridge on Territorial Drive throwing things on the road.Members located and arrested a 23-year-old woman who has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking and possession of alcohol in a public place.She has since been released from custody and will make her first appearance on these charges Nov. 3.

5:42 a.m. - Reported theft of a phone.Phone tracked to residence in the city and recovered and returned to owner.No charges pursued as per wishes of complainant.

6:05 a.m. - Two persons located intoxicated on 101st Street.28-year-old man arrested and facing one count of failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.He was remanded and made his first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court Monday, Sept. 29. A 25-year-old woman was also arrested for public intoxication and has since been released without charges.

6:31 a.m. - 30-year-old man arrested and facing charges of causing a disturbance and resisting arrest after a complaint of people fighting and yelling on 101st Street. Remanded into custody and made his first appearance Monday, Sept. 29.

6:39 a.m. - Report of a very intoxicated woman who fell at a business on 100th street and now can't get back up.21-year-old woman arrested for causing a disturbance and held in custody until sober.

12:21 p.m. - 11-year-old reported missing.Several addresses of known friends checked and child located by members and returned home.

3:56 p.m. - 911 call to a residenceon 109threporting an assault.No injuries, minor assault reported after an argument between two occupants of home.No co-operation regarding possible assault charges.One subject was removed from home and taken to another location to prevent further problems.

4:44 p.m. - Theft of bike from 111th Street reported. Property recovered and returned.Suspect in matter under 12 years of age.

6:52 p.m. - Break and enter to a business on 100th Street. Some time over previous 24 hours.

7:49 p.m. - Report of several youth sending threats via Twitter. All parties spoken to and warned about behaviour.

11:36 p.m. - Call of a woman trying to get into a residence on 111th Street. When that failed, she tried to use the complainant's BBQ. When that didn't work, she tried the door again. After a second failed attempt, she was located and arrested by police.

Monday

2:06 a.m. - Report of an assault at a residence on 102nd Street. Parties all know to each other having an argument, separated.Another call at 5:05 a.m. from same residence, 40-year-old man arrested on scene, very intoxicated and charged with three counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
