A tired bunch of mantracker players return from their adventure.

The Reigning Riders have had three meetings already this year and have doubled in size.

The 4-H Club has had four guys join the club as well as three "horsey" girls. the club has gained momentum and members are super excited about the fun year ahead.

All of the girls will be in light horse, and the boys are doing archery, trapping, tracking and bird dog training.

Sept. 28 was the club's first get together and members had a blast. It was the sixth annual "4-H Mantracker" fundraiser. This year we did something a little different. Instead of just selling poker hands for $5, we invited people to come and play the game with us. People paid $15 and that let them play, have a snack and win a prize!

We held it last Sunday and it was beautiful outside. The "players" got a 15 minute head start and went out into a treed area approximately 80 acres in size. We have a two-hour time frame and in those two hours the people getting "hunted" are participating in a scavenger hunt looking for various hidden items all through the bushes, each thing worth various points, all the while not getting "caught" by a rider on horseback.

There were four people out riding. At the end of the day the points were added up and out of the 25 people participating the top two highest marks went to J.C. Blais and Baylie Yasieniuk.

After the awards we played out the "poker hands" we had sold and the winner of that was Tom Lommer of Hafford. Second went to Ervin Lavallee of Mayfair, and the lowest hand prize of $85 went to Kathy Pyrstupa of Hafford.

Thank you everyone who bought hands and came and played with us. After our guests left we once again had our annual chili cookoff contest. We had seven pots of chili to test. It was so fun, this year we had a tie. Winners were Kaitlyn Nesbitt and Destiny Robertson.

We ended the night with watching the season premiere of Heartland together as well as hours of football, red rover and home free.
