Tricia and Daniel Bosshard of Middle Lake won one of the $25,000 prizes in McDonald's Monopoly game this year.
The couple was presented with their prize on December 12 in the Humboldt restaurant.
The couple was surprised to win the prize.
"It was funny because we were in shock," said Tricia.
While cleaning out their vehicle one day this fall, they noticed a McDonald's cup they had not pulled the Monopoly piece off of yet. When they pulled off the sticker, they were surprised to see a $25,000 cash prize.
Although many people might immediately spend the money on a vacation, the Bosshards have other plans for it.
"We farm, so we are hoping to invest some of it back into the farm," said Tricia.
She also hopes to use some on Christmas shopping and maybe do some renovations to her house.
McDonald's manager Kimberly Meszaros was excited for the couple as well.
"It is nice to have it in our community," she said. "It was exciting to have it come out of my store."
