Police responded to over 250 calls for service during between 6 a.m. Thursday, April 9 and 6 a.m. Monday, April 13.
Thursday
• Unknown vehicle drove over complainant's lawn on Henderson Drive, sometime between midnight and the time of complaint, shortly before 9 a.m.
• Vehicle windows smashed while car parked on the 1000 block of 105th Street between 11 p.m. April 8 and 10 a.m. April 9.
• Call of an assault on the 900 block of 102nd Street at 742 p.m. Victim was punched in the face by suspect. Both parties are known to each other. Investigation is still ongoing and charges are still pending.
• Report of a man sitting in a vehicle on the 1400 block of 111th Street at 10:08 p.m. Man very intoxicated and the complainants don't know who he was and couldn’t get him out of their vehicle. 24-year-old man located and arrested, facing three counts of breach of probation.
Friday
• Vehicle parked on 1900 block of 104th Street broken into sometime on evening of April 9 or shortly after midnight April 10.
• Two reports of vehicles parked on the 900 block of 108th Street broken into sometime between 9:30 the previous night and 10 a.m.
• Hit and run on the 1800 block of 100th Street reported at 12:40 p.m. Accused struck a parked vehicle before fleeing the scene. 19-year-old suspect was later located and is facing a charge of failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
• At approximately 3 p.m. it was reported a man wearing a blue shirt with a DC logo and a white ball cap stole a wallet from a youth while at the skate park.
• Members called to the 1000 block of 101st Street at 6:44 p.m., report of an intoxicated man who was fighting or trying to fight people. Accused was alleged to have assaulted a man and two women. He was located a short distance away. The 19-year-old suspect was arrested and is facing charges of three charges of assault, resisting arrest, identity fraud and three charges of breach of probation. He has been remanded into custody and appeared in North Battleford court Monday.
• A 22-year-old man arrested and facing charges of impaired driving and driving while over .08 after a vehicle stop on Highway 4 north of North Battleford shortly after 7 p.m.
• A 17-year-old youth is facing charges of impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample after a vehicle stop on 22nd Street in Battleford shortly before 9 p.m. Vehicle was reported to have been driving erratically in town and had almost struck another vehicle.
• Report of an assault in Battleford on 17th Street at 10:09 p.m. Victim was walking and approached by an intoxicated man who punched the victim after a brief conversation. The victim was not injured. The suspect was located after a search of area with the assistance of the police dog unit. A 20-year-old man was arrested and is facing charges of assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two charges of breach of probation. The accused was remanded into custody to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court Monday.
• 911 call to a residence on the 1400 block of 111th Street at 2:13 a.m. of an assault in progress. Victim was suffering from facial injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment of non-serious injuries. 16-year-old youth was arrested and has been charged with assault causing bodily harm. The victim and suspect are known to each other.
Saturday
• A 19-year-old woman was located with injuries on a roadway on the Red Pheasant First Nation shortly after 7 a.m. from an apparent assault. She was transported to hospital and treated for injuries that are not believed to be serious at this time. The victim was unable to provide any details relating to her injuries.
• Hit and run reported on the 1300 block of 100th Street. Vehicle parked in a parking lot sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Damage to complainant vehicle's front end.
• Theft of a bike reported at 6 p.m. from the 1300 block of 107th Street. Bike was taken from a balcony of an apartment.
• Report of an attempted shoplifting at a business on the 1700 block of 100th Street at 11:20 p.m. A possible suspect has since been identified and the investigation is still ongoing.
• Vehicle fire reported at 11:48 p.m. north of Wilkie, just inside the Battlefords detachment area. Vehicle appears to have been stolen sometime over previous 24 hours.
Sunday
• Report of an assault on 12th Avenue at 1:48 a.m. Victim was alleged to have been assaulted by a man while walking on the street. The suspect was later located and arrested. A 37-year-old man has been charged with assault and has since been released from custody, and is scheduled to make his first appearance in court May 11.
• Report made of a vehicle parked on the 200 block of 31st Street in Battleford gone through sometime during the evening of April 11 or early morning of April 12.
• Call of an assault on the Mosquito First Nation made at 3:30 p.m. Victim sustained minor injuries in the incident. Suspects, who are known to victim, had already left area. Matter remains under investigation.
Police arrested 41 people for alcohol related offences, investigated more than 30 disturbance calls, and 12 false or nuisance 911 calls, several of which resulted in charges against an adult female for making frivolous calls on the evening of April 11. More than 30 traffic investigations were conducted, six alarms were responded to, five fire prevention calls to assist with grass fires in rural area were attended and five child welfare investigations were conducted. Three individuals were reported missing, but all have been located. Ten collisions were reported, 11 bylaw complaints were made and the Mental Health Act investigations were conducted.
