Battlefords RCMP responded to over 50 incidents between 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30 including the following:
Aug. 29
8:00 a.m. - Three separate reports of vehicles in West Park reported to have been gone through some time overnight.
9:45 a.m. - Report of a vehicle parked on Meighen Crescent gone through overnight. Some electronics reported missing.
9:48 a.m. - Report of a vehicle on the 600 block of 100th Street gone through some time during previous evening.
1:32 p.m. - Battefords RCMP responded to an injury collision on Highway 16 near Delmas in the early afternoon of Monday August 29th, 2016. An SUV travelling eastbound on Highway 16 struck a motorcycle which was stopped on the shoulder of an approach. A 53 year old male standing near the motorcycle was also struck and sustained injuries to his legs and torso. He has been transported to Battlefords Union Hospital with serious injuries. He has since been transported to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon for further treatment. The female driver of the SUV was also transported to Hospital with an injured arm. Alcohol was not a factor in the collision. Road conditions and visibility were believed to be normal at the time as well. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
3:36 p.m. - Report of a male in the area of 19th Avenue and Territorial Drive threatening to stab someone. No knife was seen, the male is reported to have initially asked to use the victim's phone and when request was refused, threatened the victim. The victim fled the scene and was not pursued or harm. The suspect is described as a First Nations male in his 20s, wearing a white shirt, black pants, and had a white bandana.
3:37 p.m. - Report of a male braking into a home on the 1000 block of 108th Street. A 21 year old male located and arrested for Break and Enter near the location. Subject also linked to a Break and Enter reported the previous day. Charges are currently pending.
4:46 p.m. - Hit and run to a White Chevrolet Silverado parked on 103rd Street.
5:23 p.m. - A 17 year old youth arrested on Carlton Trail for being Unlawfully at large after information on his whereabouts received by police. Subject has been at large since June and will be making his first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Tuesday August 30th at 930 a.m.
6:45 p.m. - Another vehicle in West Park reported to have been gone through some time during previous evening. Change reported taken.
9:15 p.m. - Two vehicle Collision on Railway Avenue in North Battleford. No injuries reported. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Initial reports indicated one of the drivers had left the scene but all involved parties have since been identified. Remains under investigation.
10:34 p.m. - S 16-year-old was reported missing. She has since been located by police.
Aug. 30
1:20 a.m. - Report of young males trying to open car doors on 100 block of 29th Street in Battleford. Two suspects were located and identified a short time later in the area of incident. Matter remains under investigation.
Police arrested 3 persons for alcohol related offences, responded to 9 disturbance calls, 8 traffic matters, 3 noise complaints and 2 Mental Health Act complaints.
