Municipal public works employees recognized

Two employees of the City of North Battleford were recognized recently by the Saskatchewan Public Works Association at their 57th annual conference in Regina in late February.

Two employees of the City of North Battleford were recognized recently by the Saskatchewan Public Works Association at their 57th annual conference in Regina in late February. 

Engineering Co-ordinator Dan Maloney was named Public Works Person of the Year, in recognition of his service and dedication to the profession, public and SPWA. 

This is an award that Colin Carriere, operations foreman of roadways in North Battleford, had previously earned.  

Director of Operations Stewart Schafer has earned the Harry S. Swearingen Award. This acknowledges his outstanding service to the local chapter of the American Public Works Association. According to the City’s news release the award recognizes individual achievement through chapter activity and achievement in support of the strategic plan, goals and objectives.
