Well here we are in the midst of the busiest week of the Legion year!
Legionnaires accompanied by members of the Nipawin Air Cadet squadron will be participating in the school Remembrance programs on Fri., Nov. 9. Parents and members of the community are welcome to attend. They will begin in White Fox at 9 a.m., then go to Central Park Elementary at 11 a.m., Wagner Elementary about 1:00 p.m. and finish at LP Miller at 2:30 p.m.
Saturday, the community Remembrance Day activities will begin at 10:45 a.m. at the Evergreen Centre. If you or your group wish to lay a wreath, please contact the Legion at 862-4523 to have your name added to the program. Following the service a lunch will be served at the Legion for participants.
At 3 p.m. there will be a service held at Pineview Lodge, residents, family and friends are welcome. Then the annual banquet and awards program will be held at the Legion Hall with doors open at 5 pm and supper at 5:30 pm. Veterans and their spouses receive a complimentary meal. Everyone is welcome and tickets are available at the Legion lounge.
There will be no Saturday suppers in lounge on Nov. 11 or Nov. 25. There will be one on Nov. 18.
