Remember the story of Stone Soup? Vesna, at Midwest Food Resources, supported the first Notre Dame Pre-K Family event of this school year. Together, she and all who were present at the Community Garden, created a delicious and nutritious stone soup from locally grown produce. The children had a great deal of fun while learning! The entire staff of Battlefords Immigration Resource and Welcome Center came out to volunteer at the event. Special guests included the St. Joseph Parish Syrian refugee family at the event.
