North Saskatchewan River Municipal Health Holdings has welcomed a student nurse practitioner, who is completing her practicum in Health Holdings clinics.
Monique Parker is a new employee of Health Holdings and Lisa Richards has been hired as a casual worker.
Health Holdings board members were advised at their March 18 meeting that Prairie North Health Region continues to work with the board to assist a physician through the immigration and SIPPA process. The process requires many applications and approvals before the physician can participate in the Saskatchewan International Physician Practice Assessment program. They are working toward the September session in hopes of having the physician here by later this year.
Health Holdings and PNHR will be implementing a new electronic medical record program in September. The program will replace the existing EMR and will be used by all the primary care clinics in the region. This will provide better access to patient records, which will enable practitioners to provide better access to patient records. This will facilitate practitioners in providing better quality care to residents.
The next regular meeting of the board will be Monday, April 15 at 7:30 in the RM of Mervin office in Turtleford.
