UNITY — The board of directors of North West Terminal Ltd. has announced the appointment of Larry Briggs to the board of directors of the company effective Jan. 6.
Briggs is appointed to fill a vacancy created on the board April 10, 2014. In accordance with the Business Corporations Act, he will hold the position until the end of the annual shareholders meeting in 2017.
Briggs farms in the Unity area and was involved originally with the company when it first started out as a promoter selling shares. He has served for 14 years on the council of the RM of Grass Lake No. 381 including six years as reeve and eight years as a councillor. Briggs, along with his family, also operates as an independent agent for Pioneer Hybrid.
Briggs has indicated that he looks forward to joining the Board of Directors of NWT and the continued success of the operation.
