The new official community plan for the City of North Battleford as well as its new zoning bylaw have passed the first legislative hurdle.
First readings of both carried unanimously by votes of 5-0 Monday. The intention now is for both to come back to city council no earlier than six weeks from now in January, to allow time for any interested individuals to review both and offer feedback.
Earlier, there was a public open house held at Don Ross Centre where both were presented to the public for review and feedback.
