The City of North Battleford is seeking input from local businesses about what the business climate is like in the city.
Administration is launching an online survey described as a way to determine what is working and what roadblocks are still out there with respect to growth and sustainability.
Director of Business Development Denis Lavertu said in a news release Thursday the survey is being conducted to learn more about business in the city.
"Industrial and retail businesses that have received login information are invited to fill out the survey. The findings will allow us to create a strategy to better support the needs of both sectors."
Businesses should have received a letter in the mail from the City with a login name and password. The survey can also be found at the City's website at www.cityofnb.ca.
The stated objectives of the survey include identifying business concerns and issues, improving understanding of the needs and perspectives of local businesses and the community environment, identifying labour opportunities and needs, increasing retention and competiveness of local businesses and ensuring a continued strong local economy.
Survey participation is voluntary but all completed submissions will be entered in prize draws. Prizes include free golfing and swimming and will be made June 19.
The deadline for completing the surveys is June 17. The information from the responses will be held in strict confidence within the Deptartment of Economic Development.
