Pelletier’s accused killer heading to trial in P.A.

Lynessa Highway's manslaughter trial is set for December 2021

PRINCE ALBERT - A trial has been set for a Prince Albert woman accused of shooting and killing 18-year-old Adam Pelletier.

Lynessa Highway, now 19, will stand trial on manslaughter charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court in December.

Prince Albert Police say a man was shot and killed during an incident in the 1700 block of 14 Street West on Oct. 10, 2020. They were called to the residence at about 1 a.m. and when they arrived they found a deceased man.

In June 2021, Pelletier’s mom, April Roberts, organized a walk in Prince Albert to raise awareness about youth violence, gangs, and drugs.

Highway was arrested in October 2020 and soon released on bail.

The charges against Highway haven’t been proven in court.
