On hand for the presentation of a plaque to be installed at Riverside Health Complex in Turtleford were facility manager Gillian Gregoire, Muriel Conacher, advisory network member and chair of the Twin Rivers Health Care Foundation and Pat Bingham, Lyndon Shier and Lloyd Bingham, all family members of the late Lloyd and Nellie Proctor.

In December, the Lakeland Community Health Advisory Network presented a plaque to the Riverside Health Complex to recognize the significant bequest received from the Lloyd Proctor estate.

Lloyd and Nellie Proctor lived and farmed in the Mervin district and were active community members all of their lives. Lloyd spent his last few years as a resident of the Riverside Health Complex and chose to express his appreciation for the excellent care he received by leaving a portion of his estate to enhance health care services in the Turtleford area.

In a press release, the Lakeland Community Health Advisory Network says the plaque is a way of expressing gratitude for Lloyd and Nellie's generosity in a permanent and public manner.

Twin Rivers Health Care Foundation includes the geographic areas encompassing the former Twin Rivers Health District. (Cut Knife, Maidstone, Lashburn, Neilburg, Paradise Hill, St. Walburg, Turtleford, Mervin and surrounding areas). Funds donated to the Foundation are used to provide health related equipment and services to these areas.
